Elwood Writers founding member, Jennifer Bryce, last year published her first novel Lily Campbell’s Secret. This Australian story is set post World War One, at a time when Australians were putting their lives back together again after their men had fought in Gallipoli and on the Western Front. Margaret is a Melbourne/Naarm-based writer developing a memoir about the relationship she had with her father, a wounded veteran of the Second World War and prisoner of war in Germany.
Excerpts from her manuscript can be found in American Writers Review, Jewels of San Fedele and Clairitage Press. In 2013 she was awarded a scholarship to the Norman Mailer Writers Colony in Provincetown, where she began her manuscript.
In 2015, she gained an MA in Creative Writing from Wilkes University, PA. She writes non-fiction, personal essay and the occasional short story.
