Broken Rules and Other Stories, update — Barry Lee Thompson
Published by Margaret McCaffrey
Margaret is a Melbourne/Naarm-based writer developing a memoir about the relationship she had with her father, who'd been wounded during the Second World War and made prisoner of war in Germany.
Excerpts from her manuscript can be found in American Writers Review, Jewels of San Fedele and Clairitage Press. In 2013 she was awarded a scholarship to the Norman Mailer Writers Colony where, under the tutelage of Kaylie Jones, she realised that no war is a 'good war' for returned soldiers ignored by their governments. In 2015, she received an MA in Creative Writing from Wilkes University, PA. and has been writing ever since - non-fiction, memoir and the occasional short story.
