It’s been an honour to read stories on Tim McQueen’s literary radio program ‘Cover to Cover’. Members of my group Elwood Writers loved recording in the Vision Australia studio. Barry Lee Thompson’s story ‘Haunting in Bandung’ captures the former glory of an Indonesian hotel where the visiting narrator encounters more guests than he’d bargained on. Helen McDonald lures us with poems and haiku about the wild and mysterious land of Australia. I remember in personal essay two people whom I’ve loved, with scenes from our adventures and connectedness to each other. You can listen to the entire episode on the Elwood Writers link below.

In 2013 she received a scholarship to the Norman Mailer Writers Colony where, under the tutelage of Kaylie Jones, she realised the effect of war on returned soldiers. Wow, Margaret, how wonderful to hear your lovely voice along with your wonderful prose! ♥️ I must say, I do sense that I sometimes hear the writers I connect to in my head as I read. Yours is even lovelier!
