Early in 2023 (remember that year?) the Elwood Writers were invited to submit stories and poems to 20 Artists, a Port Phillip based magazine. The first literary edition of the visual arts/lit mag was published and launched in December and is now available on the 20 Artists‘ website. Read about ‘Handwritten Issue One’ in the Elwood Writers blog post below.
Barry, Helen and I have all read our stories from the magazine on Cover to Cover, or had them read by presenter Tim McQueen. Links to the radio program can be found in the EW post.
I was pleased to have my story about the view from my grandmother’s apartment included in both magazine and the radio program. My short memoir is called ‘A Pocket Handkerchief at the Edge of the World’, and features a scene told from the child’s point of view.

2023, I remember it well. Even if somehow we’re almost at the second month of 2024. How quickly January flew by! It’s great for 20 Artists and all the contributors that the mag is getting exposure on the airwaves, isn’t it. It’s definitely gone multi-media.

It’s been an exciting project to be a part of and thanks to 20 Artists for including our work in this innovative magazine, and now online.
